Actor James Franco has delayed the opening of his James Dean-inspired art exhibition in Venice, Italy because he needs more time to "fully realise" his vision for the project.
The Milk star was due to make his debut at the Venice Biennale event, which opens this week, with his Rebel installation, featuring videos paying homage to Dean.
But Franco has decided against launching his project on Thursday, as he needs more time to perfect his work.
"James Franco has decided to postpone the opening of Rebel to a later date during the exhibition, so that his vision for the project can be fully realised," a spokesperson for Franco's official partner organisation, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, told Britain's The Independent newspaper.
The Venice Biennale exhibition runs until November.
