Moviemaker James Cameron is busy with the hard task of turning four Avatar screenplays into three movies.
Cameron thrilled fans when he announced plans to write a series of follow-ups to the 2009 sci-fi epic.
Composer James Horner, who collaborated with the filmmaker on Titanic, Aliens and Avatar, has revealed Cameron is trying to condense four screenplays into three films.
"Right now Jim has four sequels, script wise. And he's trying to make it into three. And that is where, I think, his effort is going right now. To keep it to three sequels. Because he's got so much going on, how do you keep it from expanding into a ... fifth movie ..." he told HeyUGuys.com.
Avatar, starring Australian Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver, won three Oscars and became the highest-grossing film ever with worldwide box office takings of almost US$3 billion (NZ$3.9b).
