The first official trailer for Peter Jackson's big-screen adaptation of The Lovely Bones has been unveiled.
The sneak peek at Jackson's take on Alice Sebold's novel was premiered online yesterday.
Sebold's best-seller follows the life and mysterious afterlife of Susie Salmon, a young girl who is murdered by her neighbour, who then watches her grieving family and killer from beyond the grave.
The trailer offers a glimpse of the film's star-studded cast, including Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz (as the grieving parents) and Susan Sarandon in the role of the grandmother.
While rising star Saoirse Ronan takes on the role of little Susie Salmon.
The Lovely Bones is due for release in December.
