Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in Silverlinings Playbook.
A Silver Linings Playbook reunion could be in the works.
Writer/director David O Russell has already cast Jennifer Lawrence in his upcoming project Joy, but is keen to get Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro on board as well.
Makes sense. Silver Linings Playbook became the first film since 1981to be Oscar-nominated in all four acting categories and saw Lawrence win (and stack it on the stairs) for Best Actress.
Russell reteamed with the girl everyone wishes was their BFF and Cooper for American Hustle, which also starred his actors from The Fighter - Christian Bale and Amy Adams.
So it's clear he likes working with the same people.
In a Q&A with Go, Russell talked about his next flick Joy, which tells the story of the single mum who invented the Miracle Mop.
He says the producers came to him and J-Law and he saw an opportunity for the two of them to do something they hadn't tried before.
"It's the story of a certain woman, what's going on inside her from a young girl, broke, to when she becomes a bit of a mogul, a bit of a power broker. And the people she's surrounded by are extremely ... she has very complicated, deep, personal family relationships, which are the bane of her and the reason she is who she is," he says.
And Russell added that there are some excellent roles for other actors too."I think I'd very much like (Robert) De Niro to be in it, I think he's gonna be in it.
"And of course I always create a role for Bradley Cooper. I try to have things people have never done."
