Nick Cave's side project Grinderman have called it quits following a festival performance in Australia.
"That's it for Grinderman. It's over. See you in 10 years," Cave was reported to have told the Meredith Music Festival crowd following the band's headlining slot, Fasterlouder.com reported.
Cave, along with Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos, were together for around five years and recorded two albums together.
The last, Grinderman 2, came out about a year ago.
They headlined the Green Stage at this year's Big Day Out festival in Auckland.
