It's My Party hitmaker Lesley Gore has lost her battle with cancer at the age of 68.
The openly-gay singer/songwriter passed away at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, her longtime partner, Lois Sasson, confirms.
Gore was discovered at 16 by producer Quincy Jones and they shot to fame with the chart smash It's My Party.
She continued to find success with tracks like Judy's Turn to Cry, You Don't Own Me, She's a Fool and the Grammy-nominated Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows.
