KEY POINTS:
The year just keeps getting better and busier when it comes to gigs.
British rockers Snow Patrol and American pop rockers Fall Out Boy return to New Zealand following sell-out shows earlier this year.
And rapper Ice Cube, also plays a one-off Auckland show in August.
Snow Patrol made a fleeting visit here in February for one Auckland show to 6000 people. However, the short stay didn't stop frontman Gary Lightbody from declaring his love for our little country.
"This is such a great place. I just feel really at home here. Can we come back?" he said at the time. Of course you can, Gary.
So, this time round the lads are taking a few days' holiday before playing two shows, one at the Vector Arena in Auckland on September 14 and Christchurch's Westpac Centre the following night. Tickets go on sale on July 18 through Ticketmaster (Auckland) and Ticketek (Christchurch).
Meanwhile, the 4000 tickets to Fall Out Boy's last gig here were snapped up instantly so no wonder they're coming back for more at Trusts Stadium in Waitakere on October 1.
The band's album Infinity On High, featuring the single This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race, and current hit, Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, has sold more than 20,000 copies and spent the last 21 weeks in the top 20.
Tickets for Fall Out Boy go on sale on July 16 through Ticketdirect or at Real Groovy.
And then there's former N.W.A. member and, it's safe to say, one of hip-hop music's royalty, Ice Cube, who plays the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre on August 22.
Along with Dr Dre and Eazy E, Cube was one of the high-profile members of the LA-based hip-hop act N.W.A. whose 1988 album, Straight Outta Compton, is considered a classic. After leaving the group in the early 90s Cube went on to a successful solo career (most notably his debut album AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted) and became a movie star thanks to films like Boyz N the Hood and Friday.
Be at the show, or beware the wrath of Ice Cube.
Tickets go on sale on Monday through Ticketdirect.
