Kiwi singing sensation Ella Yelich-O'Connor brought the curtain down on her 86-show tour last night, thanking the Queen city for its musical inspiration.
Thousands of fans packed Vector Arena to hear Lorde's final performance on her successful Pure Heroine tour that has played to sell out audiences in the United States, England and Australia.
"This music is about Auckland. Ever since we filmed Royals at the bus stop, at the tunnel to the North Shore, I've had you with me.
"You don't know how special it is, ending the tour here. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you, Auckland," she told fans.
Proud mum Sonja Yelich chronicled the final hours of the show, posting photos on social media of her family and a special selfie with her star daughter and makeup artist Amber D.
