Russell Crowe has used Twitter to shoot down speculation that he's set to portray Rupert Murdoch in an upcoming movie about the Australian media mogul.
The Oscar-winning actor had been rumoured to take on the role in a film based on the memoir Good Times, Bad Times by Sir Harold Evans, the former editor of The Times newspaper.
It's believed the film would focus on former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's dealings with the Australian-born media tycoon.
"You have to be brave to play someone like Murdoch. Russell can do it," an insider working on the project told the Daily Star.
But Crowe has distanced himself from the film, insisting he knows nothing about the job.
