As rich kids reality show The Hills reaches its season finale this weekend TimeOut catches up with star Kristin Cavallari to talk 'man-eating' and 'girl code'.
You are branded "the bitch" - does that bother you?
No, it doesn't bother me because it's more fun to be the bad girl.
Would you describe yourself as a man-eater as the other girls on the show do?
No, I wouldn't describe myself as a man-eater. I just don't take crap from guys and have an older brother so I know how men think.
The word "girl code" is used a lot on the show, in reference to you breaking it. Do you think the girl code needs to be re-written?
I never broke the girl code because Audrina and I were never friends. I would NEVER go after a friend's ex. That doesn't apply to girls you have never been friends with though.
When you constantly have cameras on you, does it feel like you are constantly working or do you feel like you aren't doing any work?
I don't feel like I'm always working because we only shoot three days a week for a few hours a day. It's not invasive as it looks, actually.
Has taking reality roles prevented you from taking up any other acting opportunities?
Doing reality has definitely prevented me from doing other acting gigs because of time restraints and because I have to prove myself even more. But that just makes me fight harder.
What do you eat for breakfast?
For breakfast I either eat fruit and eggs, oatmeal, or an acai smoothie.
What's the song on your iPod you don't want anyone to know about?
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Celine Dion.
What's next on the horizon for Kristin Cavallari?
Another season of The Hills and I want to start producing other reality shows. Lately I've realised that I love being behind the camera just as much as I love being in front of it. I would also love to have my own shoe line.
