KEY POINTS:
It's chilly here in Glasgow, but tonight it gets all hot and steamy, just like that summer way back in '69. Yes, Bryan Adams is still big in Scotland and this screaming sold-out 10,000-strong crowd is proof. These guys don't just know all the words to hits like Summer of '69 and that other song with the ridiculously long title that was the theme to Robin Hood (you know the one), oh no, they know them all.
I'm not a Bryan Adams fan, but with a crowd going this ballistic it's hard not to tap that foot and shake that knee. I'm even inspired to throw a few goats when Adams hollers, in his husky voice, "Those were the best days of my life". Oh, yeah.
However, the real gem tonight is the bonny wee lass from Aberdeen who gets up on stage and duets with Bryan as if they'd been practicing together all day. By the looks, she's keen to kiss him, even though her hubby is out there looking on. Good old Bry', he can still pull the ladies, especially in Scotland.
Tonight I'm off to see Justin Timberlake in Birmingham, a town that's more used to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath than the King of pop.
