KEY POINTS:
Christina Aguilera is standing on stage in front of me. I can only see her silhouette but it's her alright. She's striking a pose at the top of the stair case, in all her sexy glory, and then she struts to the front of the stage. Okay, so I'm gushing but in real life the pint sized singer really is something.
This crowd in Atlanta - the home of hip hop freaks Outkast - is loud. I've never heard screaming like it, and that was just for warm up act the Pussy Cat Dolls who, it has to be said, aren't a very good example for their target tween audience.
However, the biggest screams are saved for Christina.
If you get the chance to go to her Back To Basics show when it comes to Auckland in August then go. Even if it's not your sort of music just go for the experience.
I also went to a great show by Liam Finn at the beginning of the week in Los Angeles. He does this crazy one man show where he sings, plays drums and guitar, and loops the guitar parts. Surprisingly, it's not at all self indulgent because of the simple fact there's some great tunes amongst the more thrashy and bashy stuff.
He's heading back home from his London base soon for some shows and his debut solo album, I'll Be Lightning, is out soon.
Next up for me, New York, New York.
