The Block's fourth season will be moving to Sandringham, it has been reported.
Local TV website The Spinoff reports residents in the Mt Roskill and Sandringham areas have been sent letters by The Block production company Eyeworks New Zealand informing them of "building and filming activity in your area".
The letter invites residents to a community meeting, which will also include representatives from TV3 and Auckland Council.
For the show's third season, filmed in Pt Chevalier, around 20 neighbours in Newell St joined forces in a failed bid to stop the TV3 reality show from filming in their area.
Residents were concerned of reports of noise throughout the night, heavy traffic, blocked driveways and floodlights being used during the show's run.
Auckland Council received a record number of complaints about the production throughout the four-month shoot, with 111 complaints received. Of those, 64 breached resource consents and action was taken in five instances.
The show's fourth season, which will see former contestants return to compete against new teams in Fans vs Faves, is reportedly eyeing up the corner site of Haig Avenue and Renfrew Avenue.
"We consider it a privilege to work in your community and will do everything possible to ensure that we cause minimal disruption to your daily lives," the letter says. "We look forward to getting to know you over the course of the project."
Filming a season of The Block, in which four teams compete to renovate run down homes, typically takes around three months with production due to start in June.
