Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is rumoured to be moving to Wellington in the New Year to start shooting her next film, Ghost in the Shell.
The Avengers star is expected in the capital next month to begin working out of the Stone Street Studios in Miramar, Fairfax reported.
Johansson will be moving into a house in Seatoun - a rumour confirmed by her soon-to-be neighbours.
One said many stars moved to the eastern suburb, so he was used to having them in the neighbourhood.
"During [the filming of ] The Hobbit, we had lots of A-listers sniffing around. They were looking at putting old-what's-his-name in here ... Gandalf [Sir Ian McKellen]," he told Fairfax.
