Netflix has just released the first look trailer for their ambitious new series Nightflyers.
The show is from the mind of George RR Martin, author of Game of Thrones, and is based on another of his books. Although fans hoping for more songs of fire and ice may be left in the cold. Nightflyers couldn't be set further from Westeros if he tried.
The series is based on his 1980 science fiction novella of the same name, which is a survival horror set in a spaceship travelling through deep space.
The story is set far into the future and follows an eight person crew charged with travelling into the outer reaches of space to recover an alien ship that they hope contains technology that can be used to save a doomed earth.
But once they recover the alien ship things take a sinister turn on the return journey home...
