KEY POINTS:
Hopes are high that a play about cricket will have as much pulling power as a one-day international.
The Underarm, a comedy by David Geary and Justin Gregory, is about two brothers torn apart by the infamous 1981 cricketing incident when Kiwi hopes of a win were dashed after Aussie Trevor Chappell delivered the last ball of the match as an underarm bowl to stop batsman Brian McKechnie hitting a six.
* The Underarm is on at Papakura's Hawkins Centre, from February 16-23.
