Anne Hathaway is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in

Rachel Getting Married.

As Kym, she plays a self-absorbed recovering addict whose return home for her sister's wedding sparks a family conflict. Hathaway, 26, won the Critics Choice award for her performance; she was also nominated for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award.

Hathaway first gained recognition for her roles in the Princess Diaries films, and has recently begun to take on more serious roles (

Becoming Jane, Brokeback Mountain

). She also appears in
