Barry Nelson, who has died at 86, was the first actor to play James Bond on screen.
He played the secret agent in a TV production of Casino Royale in 1954.
Nelson said he accepted the role only because character actor Peter Lorre was to be in it and despite the fact the script was disappointing.
Nelson appeared in many films as well as TV shows such as The Love Boat and Murder, She Wrote.
