INXS have reportedly performed as a group for the last time.
In a surprise move, INXS drummer Jon Farriss announced on Sunday night that their support act for touring artists Matchbox Twenty at the Perth Arena was to be their last, according to PerthNow.
The emotional news was delivered on stage before the iconic Aussie band launched into their hit song Need You Tonight at the newly opened arena.
Formed by the Farriss brothers in 1977 in Sydney, INXS was fronted by Michael Hutchence for 20 years, and was one of the world's biggest rock bands in the '80s and into the '90s.
After Hutchence's death in a Sydney hotel room in 1997, the band tried several replacements for the lead singer, including Aussie rocker Jon Stevens.
