Paul Holmes has been nominated for an international lifetime achievement award.
The Newstalk ZB breakfast host is one of seven broadcasters in contention for the New York Festival's 2007 Radio Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award.
The shortlist includes Hong Kong DJ Ray Cordeiro and American broadcasters Stan Freberg, Ira Glass, Charles Grodin and Dick Orkin as well as the infamous Don Imus, who made a derogatory comment about a US women's basketball team.
The winner will be announced later this month at an awards gala in New York City.
