KEY POINTS:
Friday night drinks? Meet me at:
Peccadillos, on the corner of Upland and Remuera Roads. A Cheers-style sports bar where muso friends often drop in for a drink and the guitars come out for a sing-along.
Where I'll be wearing my new:
I'm a pretty casual dresser, but have suit days. My suits are all made in Aussie where I have a favourite tailor. But I would be wearing my Levis on a night off. Not a week goes by without me buying a new G-string so you can be sure I will be in one.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
Playing in the Wild Things 2007 show in Auckland on Saturday. It will be an amazing weekend catching up with so many old friends. All still crazy I hope.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
Capriata on Remuera Rd. They often introduce me as the owner as I've spent so much money there.
Saturday evening. If my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
Jimi Hendrix. But that's not going to happen for obvious reasons so it would have to be the Yardbirds. I don't want much do I?
But if there's nothing else doing I'll probably just:
Invite someone special to a candlelit dinner at my place.
On my stereo/headphones right now is:
Pluto. I saw them play at the launch of Kiwi FM and became a huge fan.
The books I can't put down are:
I've just finished Jimi Hendrix Electric Gypsy by Harry Shapiro & Caesar Glebbeek.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for:
Coronation Street. I've watched it for years.
The movie I've been dying to see:
A Mighty Heart.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
Shahi or The Jasmine Rice on Remuera Rd. King prawns with garlic, chilli and basil leaves.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
Sopranos in Epsom.
