"Favourite venues are the ones with beaches close by, or water holes, or mean cafes, or friends that live in the area" - Ladi6
Ladi6 takes the stage at Northern Bass in Mangawhai tonight to welcome in the New Year
What is your preferred mode of travel for the summer tour?
Batmobile and when batman is using it, I like to fly... by broomstick.
Do you roll with tapes, CDs, iPod, smartphone with a Spotify playlist, or guitar, who's in charge of the selections, and what are you likely to hear?
Like Logan from Katchafire said one time when he rode in our van for 5 minutes, "do yous just listen to world music?" I think that says it all, also we roll with a Bose portable speaker.
I get excited for him and at other times impatient, it all depends upon the amount of sleep and partying I have had the night/s previous.
Do you have a go-to vendor for a great feed?
I like to try to stay on the nutritious trip when touring so I try to hunt out the most qualified eatery, but often for me it ends up being that the local supermarket is the best option.
Best spot for a quick dip in the ocean, or an inviting swimming hole?
Pelorus in Nelson, Cement works in Warkworth, Jumping of the wharf in Opononi and Tolaga bay, Whangapoua beach in the Coromandel, the waterfall by Ruakaka (forgotten the name) Langs beach in Waipu...ahh man theres just so many sweet spots in NZ, we are super spoilt for choice when touring.
What song will you be playing to really get the crowd going?
U2's in the name of love.
What are your plans for New Year's Eve? To party like its 1999!!
Do you have any New Years traditions? Pash at midnight?
Who's on your ideal summer music fest dream team lineup?
