Rapper Missy Elliott has taken to Twitter to assure her fans she is alive and well after false reports of her death began circulating.
The Work It singer was outraged after a story emerged online suggesting she had passed away, marking the second time she has been targeted by death hoax pranksters in 2011.
Elliott, who has been busy in the recording studio, took to her Twitter page to dismiss the speculation and blast the "miserable" person responsible for the rumour.
"I'm great people for all who keep asking! Alive and well! Sadly sum1 (someone) was that miserable to make up such a cruel rumour! It Makes me work harder (to) make 'em mad! I'm done addressing the foolishness! I'm alive! God will deal with those who play about (with) things like that,'' she tweeted.
Missy Elliott hasn't released an album since 2005's The Cookbook. In June this year she admitted she suffered from Graves disease, but plans to release her album Block Party in 2012.
