KEY POINTS:
The country's leading fashion designers put their talent to good use on Friday night at the eighth annual In the Pink fundraiser at SkyCity.
The event, which sold out weeks in advance, raises money for the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Around 600 people crammed into the SkyCity convention centre lobby for cocktails, before sitting down to a two-course meal and watching the main event, a fashion parade and auction.
Designs by Yvonne Bennetti, Liz Mitchell, Zambesi, Little Brother and more sailed down the runway, while TVNZ Breakfast host Kay Gregory acted as MC.
A total of $100,000 was raised for the charity - a record for the event.
Highlight: Thanks to some excellent organisation, the event ran exactly to schedule and was all over by 10pm. Unheard of.
Lowlight: Watching a stream of beautiful clothes pass by, knowing they will never look as good on you as they do on the models.
