KEY POINTS:
Feathered masks adorned the walls and swinging jazz filled the room at the Rotary Club of North Harbour's seventh annual fundraiser on Saturday night.
The New Orleans-themed event, held at Takapuna's Spencer on Byron hotel, was the highlight of the club's calendar and raised money for the North Shore Hospital's cardiac centre.
With more than 180 auction lots on offer, through both a live and a silent auction, the club aimed to raise $50,000 for the centre.
Among the auction items was a series of 11 gold-plated hands, cast from some of New Zealand's leading sporting and entertainment personalities, including Tim Finn, Hamish Carter and Mark Todd.
HIGH POINT
Seeing so many celebs lend a hand to a good cause, literally.
LOW POINT
It seems some missed the memo on the event's black-tie dress code.
