The Aotea Centre was packed full of thousands of happy gamers, sci-fi fans, wrestling fans and animation lovers yesterday for the second day of the Armageddon New Zealand Expo. By the end of the long weekend, organiser Bill Geradts expected 30,000 people would have been through the doors.
Among them was 11-year-old Ethan Smith who was waiting for autographs with Stargate SG1 star Christopher Judge and Michael Olsen, 11, who went home with a realistic, but fake, splinter through the forehead.

The costumes. Sometimes it was hard to tell the professionals who were part of the show from the eager fans who wanted to get among the action.
