KEY POINTS:
Grey skies and light drizzle couldn't dampen the spirits of concertgoers at the annual Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park concert in the Domain on Saturday night. Thousands of Aucklanders turned out to watch the free concert, hosted by Jeremy Corbett and Jeanette Thomas. Children danced and families enjoyed picnic dinners while listening to an assortment of classic Christmas songs and contemporary Kiwi music.
More than 100 performers took to the stage, including Frankie Stevens, Jackie Clarke and OpShop, before a grand fireworks finale closed the show.
Highlight
The friendly and co-operative attitude of the huge crowd.
Lowlight
The shoddy sound system, which saw vocals cut in and out and did little justice to the performers.
