It features a giant winged cat dog and a small child who can't jump properly. And it's so old the game's creative director thought people had already forgotten about it.
But a seven-minute trailer for Playstation 4's video game The Last Guardian is the one thing on everyone's lips after last week's E3 expo in Los Angeles.
The E3 expo attracts tens of thousands of gaming media and fans as the world's biggest tech companies and video game producers unveil their latest products.
There were plenty of big game releases this year, with trailers for Fallout 4, Doom, Uncharted 4 and a remake of Final Fantasy VII all garnering plenty of attention.
Creative director Fumito Ueda admitted to Playstation Blog it had been so long since The Last Guardian's announcement he thought people had forgotten about the game.
"Yes, it's been a few years since our last announcement," Ueda said. "From my point of view, it was very unpredictable how the audience would react. I wasn't sure if people would remember the title. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous."
"After the announce I saw the reaction, and the cheering - and that proved to me that people had really been waiting and were excited to see (it). Afterwards, I was more relaxed and happy!"
Ueda, who created Playstation 2 classics Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, said the game's delays were due to converting it from Playstation 3's technology to Playstation 4.
"If I had to call out one of them, it was more of a technical hurdle that we had to overcome," Ueda said. "But eventually we have overcome it, and we have finally (and) proudly.
The game's mysterious storyline is being deliberately kept under wraps, he said.
"It's a story about a young boy who has been kidnapped or captured under strange circumstances. It's about an encounter between that boy and the mysterious beast Trico amidst ancient ruins, and a story about their journey together in the hope of escaping their mysterious predicament."
