Noted Bengali filmmaker Goutam Ghose's Moner Manush won the Golden Peacock for the best film, the Hindustan times reported.
Earlier this month Boy has received an Audience Award in the world cinema section of the audience and jury awards at the American Film Institute Awards.
Boy is set in the 1980s and follows the exploits of an 11-year-old trying to please his wayward father, who returns home after spending several years in jail.
