KEY POINTS:
Miriama Kamo is the host of TV2's 20/20 current affairs programme.
The book I love most is...
I read some great books last year; I worked through a few Booker nominees, including Ian McEwan and Lloyd Jones. I loved Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner and, somewhat less, A Thousand Splendid Suns. I also got a bit obsessed with Isabel Allende and Joan Didion who, like Ian McEwan, are masters of their craft.
The book I'm reading now is...
I usually have a few on the go. Right now, I have Anne Enright's The Gathering, Small Island by Andrea Levy, The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Cloudstreet by Tim Winton, and for good measure I'm attempting to read The New Jerusalem Bible. Our family friend Father Jim Consedine challenged me to base my rather liberal beliefs on a solid knowledge of scriptural texts and theology, so I'm having a crack at getting more familiar with the Bible as a starting point.
The book I'd like to read next is...
I have to get to grips with my appalling grammar so Lynne Truss' Eats, Shoots & Leaves is next on the list.
