The book I love most is ...
In terms of an emotional response there have been three books I've read and cried at the end. Tuesdays With Morrie, by Mitch Albom, is an amazing true story about a student and his professor. Morrie is dying and Mitch sits beside his bed while he passes on lessons he's learned through his life. The Time Traveler's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger, is a great story written in such a way that it suspended reality for me and I was right in it. And finally ET - The Film In Pictures. I read that when I was a child and it was so sad when E.T got back on his spaceship that I cried and cried.
The book I'm reading now is ...
My Booky Wook by Russell Brand. He's a British comedian and TV presenter and I love his sense of humour. He's nuts and seemingly fearless when it comes to life and pushing boundaries. He's a self-confessed sex addict and has been a heroin addict. This is his autobiography and it's a great read.
The book I want to read next is ...
Danny Wallace's Yes Man. Wallace is brilliant. He wrote a book called Join Me, where he asked people to join him by placing an ad in the paper. They had no idea why he wanted them to join him but they did which spurred him on to invent a reason. The reason became the Karma Army, a group of people who do random acts of kindness. Yes Man is about what happened to Danny when he decided to say yes to all the requests or invitations he got for a year. I can't wait to read about it.
