The book I love the most is...
It's very hard to choose a single book that I love. It's usually the one I've just finished or am loathe to finish. I really enjoyed Elizabeth Knox's book Dream Hunter and the sequel The Dream Quake and I'll read anything by Barbara Ewing. The Uncle's Story by Witi Ihimaera was unputdownable. I devour books on the Christmas break so my family know to get me at least two books for Christmas.
The book I'm reading now is...
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I raved about The Kite Runner when I first read that and insisted on all my colleagues reading it. This is his second novel and it is even better than the first. Such great characters - I am terrified, appalled, yet rejoice for these people I've come to know.
The book I'd like to read next is...
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams. I'm performing in this play for the Auckland Theatre Company in July so the sooner I can get to grips with the script the better. There is always something new to discover within a script so I'm looking forward to working out all the details and having a good read along the way.
