Flight of the Conchords star Bret McKenzie says it was "great to get my pointy ears back on" for a cameo role in Peter Jackson's upcoming Hobbit films.
McKenzie sparked a cult-like devotion to the character of 'Figwit' - it stands for "Frodo is great ... who is that?" - after a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role as an elf in 2001's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
McKenzie admitted to Empire magazine that Jackson had asked him back for a scene in one of his upcoming Hobbit movies.
"It was in Wellington so I could pretty much walk to work," McKenzie said.
"It's still a small part - I did a couple of days earlier this year - but it was great to get my pointy ears back on. It's in 3D, so the ears will be extra pointy. You'll be able to touch the ears."
