It looks like Beyonce will bypass New Zealand this year when she tours Australia.

It was rumoured that the bootylicious pop star would bring her I Am ... tour to Vector Arena, but no dates have eventuated.

Promoter Michael Coppel who is putting on her five shows in Australia, starting in Brisbane on September 12, says there is still a possiblity she will play in New Zealand but it is dependent on her other tour commitments.

Beyonce was last here with her band Destiny's Child in 2002 and missed New Zealand out during her last stop in Australia in 2007.
