The western world's obsession with Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things shows no sign of waning.
Viewers of this summer sleeper hit have become fascinated with its nerdy Eighties references, trappings of small-town America and the frustrated families who live there and even its title font.
However, there's one aspect which has kept people especially captivated: the show's characters.
Sure, viewers are understandably won over by the brilliant and adorable tween actors, Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair) and Noah Schapp (Will Byers), and Winona Ryder, who plays harried single mother Joyce Byers, has experienced a career revival as a result of her mesmerising performance.
But there's one character who has won a disproportionate number of hearts to the minutes she spent on screen: Barb.
