When choosing a dinner date, a good sense of humour is a valued commodity according to an informal nzherald.co.nz survey which asked readers to name the living actor and actress they would most like to have dinner with.
Although Hollywood star Brad Pitt was a clear winner, unexpected names the top six men included Billy Connolly, Ricky Gervais and William Shatner.
Angelina Jolie, Pitt's partner, was the most popular actress to dine with, followed surprisingly by Drew Barrymore. Both male and female readers suggested her bubbly personality would make her an ideal dinner companion.
