KEY POINTS:
Playboy tycoon Hugh Hefner has confirmed his split from Holly Madison.
The magazine mogul had previously denied his relationship with Holly was on the rocks, but after she claimed they were no longer together earlier this week he has finally admitted their romance is over.
He said: "If she's says it's over, it's over. But like I've said before, she is the love of my life, and I expected to spend the rest of my life with her."
The 82-year-old added he found it extremely difficult to come to terms with the end of his relationship with Holly, 28.
He said: "I was road kill a couple of weeks ago."
Hugh had previously admitted his relationship with Holly was in
"transition", adding she was desperate to have children but that was not "on the cards" for him.
The Playboy founder has now revealed the pair did try for a baby, but Holly failed to conceive.
He said: "We tried to have a baby earlier this year and it didn't work out. With my sperm count, it's not possible. I was willing, but it was not possible. She became very depressed."
Hugh also revealed his relationship with Kendra Wilkinson, 23, will soon be over.
He said: "The relationship with Kendra will be ending when she moves out - probably by the end of the year."
During an appearance on US chat show Chelsea Lately earlier this week,
Kendra confirmed she had split from Hugh but insisted they remained the best of friends.
Hugh is already auditioning for new girlfriends to move into the Playboy
mansion with him and his remaining girlfriend, Bridget Marquardt, 35.
He claims 19-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon - who he regularly goes out with - will "probably become my girlfriends".
