TV psychic Sue Nicholson has opened up about how a combination of online bullying and working on the show Sensing Murder almost drove her to end her own life.
The investigative psychic told Woman's Day that between the depression caused by working cases for the show, and onslaught of cruel words from skeptics and trolls, it became too much to bear.
"I found myself spiralling into depression after every case. I...wanted to connect with the families, just to give them some closure. But for various reasons that didn't happen and the depression began to have a real impact on my state of mind," she told the magazine.
She says she couldn't eat or sleep and, "I cried so much. I didn't want to be put down any more or face the public. I had some pills and all I wanted to do was take the lot and leave the pain behind. "
Things came to a head in 2013 when a desperate Nicholson called a friend for help, and that friend rushed straight to her side with Nicholson's husband Steve.
