Opononi rules. Rarotonga is pretty badass too.

The beaches in Gizzy, Charlie's Gelato in Matakana. Best spot for a quick dip in the ocean, or an inviting swimming hole?Pelorus in Marlborough, 90 Mile Beach up at Te Paki, Whangapoua in Coromandel.
What song will you be playing to really get the crowd going?
Burning and Diamonds off our new record, Automatic.
What are your plans for New Year's Eve?
To play some shows and party afterwards.
Do you have any New Year's traditions?
Nah.
Do certain styles of music make more sense during the hot and sweaty months of summer?
I don't think so, no.
Is it tough having to work over the summer break when everyone else is on holiday?
It's been this way for as long as I remember, it would be tough for me not to play during summer now!
Ideal summer music fest dream team line-up?
Constantly changing, but whoever it is, I'd be on there too.
