A controversial German movie that imagines Hitler returning to live in modern day society will screen on Netflix in April.
Look Who's Back, or Er ist wieder da in German, is based on a bestselling book by Timur Vermes in which Hitler returns to live in the modern age, struggles with modern technology and gives interviews on talk shows.
The film's plot is described like this: "Adolf Hitler wakes up in present-day Berlin, with no memory of anything that happened after 1945, and interprets modern situations and things from a Nazi perspective. He is mistaken for a method actor or a comedian, and lands himself a career in television, to which he takes advantage of for a political comeback."
Hitler is, of course, the Nazi dictator responsible for killing at least 5.5 million Jews and millions of others until he was overthrown and committed suicide at the end of World War II.
The AV Club reported Look Who's Back, directed by David Wnendt, would hit Netflix on April 9.
