Heather Mills wins discrimination lawsuit

Heather Mills has won a discrimination case brought against her by a former nanny.

The model-turned-charity campaigner is said to be "delighted" after a court rejected Sara Trumble's claims that her former employer "humiliated" her and reduced her to tears with unpleasant treatment and unfair working conditions.

A spokesperson said: "Heather is delighted with the decision of the Employment Tribunal that has dismissed all of Sara Trumble's claims.

"Heather was always a very fair and generous employer to Sara and is very pleased that this has been confirmed by Judge Vowles and the tribunal members unanimously in the judgement."

Trumble - who was paid £260-a-week to be Beatrice's nanny from 2004 to 2007 - first made her claims at a three-day hearing at Ashford Employment Tribunal Centre in Kent, south England, where she was seeking compensation for sex and maternity discrimination, plus constructive dismissal.

Mills has said previously that she had felt betrayed by Sara, who she said she treated "like a daughter".

She had also accused Sara of being "motivated by money" and claimed the pair were so close her employee even asked her to be godmother to her daughter Lily, but the relationship turned sour when Heather refused to give the nanny £4,000 for breast enlargement surgery in the spring of 2008.

The 42-year-old charity campaigner also insisted she refused to settle the case out of court because she did not want to set a precedent for other celebrities' nannies.
