KEY POINTS:
Heather Mills is in talks to star in the US version of hit British TV show Footballers' Wives.
The former model, who is also reportedly considering an appearance on Desperate Housewives, is being linked to a US version of the hit British show about the glamorous lives of football players' wives.
Bosses at US TV network ABC devised the concept following David Beckham's decision to sign for the Los Angeles Galaxy, which has resulted in a surge of interest in the sport.
An ABC source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "It's all gone crazy over Beckham. Football still isn't as appreciated here as it is in the UK but people are starting to take notice.
"We're keen to do something similar to Footballers' Wives - soccer meets Dynasty. Heather has done a lot of US TV and she's someone we would love for the show. There was talk of her appearing in Desperate Housewives but if they don't want to know, then we do."
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Heather, 39, and her estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney had reached an out of court divorce settlement worth £32 million.
However, Heather's legal firm Mishcon de Reya issued a statement denying Paul, 64, had made an offer.
A spokeswoman said: "No offer has been made whatsoever at any time."
