Former pop star Gary Glitter has refused to board a flight to the UK, after claiming he was suffering a heart attack.
Glitter, 64, real name Paul Francis Gadd, was earlier deported from Vietnam after serving 27 months in jail for abusing two young girls.
The convicted rocker had arrived at Bangkok airport, Thailand when he complained that he was suffering a heart attack and refused to board a connecting flight to London.
The BBC News website reports that Glitter demanded to be allowed to stay in Thailand or another Asian country.
However, Glitter had been declared 'persona non grata' by Thai officials this morning, and threatened to deport him back to Vietnam.
It is believed that Glitter is currently stuck at the airport, not having been given permission to pass through customs and immigration.
The shamed showman was arrested in Vietnam in 2005 and convicted in March 2006 for abusing two girls aged ten and 11.
