Han Solo's marriage to Sana Solo has been unveiled.
Star Wars' rogue heartthrob Han Solo has a wife. And it ain't Princess Leia.
In the latest Marvel comic book, which takes place between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, Han and Leia are confronted by his spouse in Tatooine.
The mystery lady appears out of a spaceship, wielding a gun in a true soap opera-inspired twist.
"The name is Sana Solo. I'm his wife ... now who in the hell might you be, lady?" she says.
Meanwhile Han, head in hand, emits a simple "Oh no."
The iconic space saga's latest instalment, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit US cinemas on December 18, with Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher reprising their roles as Han and Leia.
They'll be joined by new cast members Adam Driver (Girls), Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave) and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones).
Experts have predicted it will dominate the box office across the globe, making in excess of $US100 million domestically, and overtake Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all time.
