Gwyneth Paltrow appears with a mask from the film 'Iron Man' on the May issue of Vogue.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her son Moses in 2006.
"I didn't know I had it until after it was over," the actress, 35, tells Vogue magazine in an upcoming issue.
"I just didn't know what was wrong
with me. I felt really out of my body," Paltrow says.
"I felt really disconnected. I felt really down ... I felt pessimistic."
Paltrow tells the magazine she believes scaling back on natural therapies such as acupuncture and massage during her pregnancy contributed to the problem.
Moses, now 2, is Paltrow's second child with husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin. Daughter Apple turns 4 next month.
Paltrow returns to the big screen next month in the Marvel comics adaptation Iron Man.
