With her sensible chunky sweater and dark hair tied back in low bun, Gwen Stefani's new family nanny could not be more different to the last.

Walking discreetly alongside her charge, the latest addition to the pop star's household has been pictured with Miss Stefani's youngest child, 20-month-old Apollo, and his British father Gavin Rossdale as they went for lunch in Los Angeles this week.

Miss Stefani, 46, and Rossdale, 50, ended their 13-year marriage earlier this year.

The frontman of rock band Bush had allegedly cheated on his wife with their nanny Mindy Mann, who with her blonde hair and quirky style looked remarkably similar to Stefani.

The singer reportedly discovered the alleged three-year affair when she found explicit texts and nude photos on the family iPad.

Us Weekly magazine claimed that Mann, thought to be in her twenties, was fired despite Rossdale insisting the exchange was simply "flirtation".

He has not spoken publicly about the split.

Stefani, who is now dating Blake Shelton, a fellow judge on the US version of The Voice, recently said the end of her marriage was "unexpected".
