TV chef
Gordon Ramsay
has apologised to his wife
Tana
after admitting to meeting 'professional mistress'
Sarah Symonds
four times, according to fresh allegations.
According to British tabloid the
, the celebrity chef also confided in a friend that he's appalled that Tana has had to endure the humiliation over the infidelity claims.
Ramsay is alleged to have told a friend: "I'm so sorry I've put Tana through this. I've apologised to her and feel absolutely dreadful.
"I feel I've been a fool. She really doesn't deserve all this grief."
The legendary pottymouth has been accused by tabloid the
of conducting a seven-year affair with 'professional mistress' Sarah Symonds - former lover of bestselling author Jeffrey Archer.
An unnamed source told the newspaper that Ramsay and Symonds first met in a nightclub in 2001, and had been conducting an affair since.
"Ramsay and Sarah exchanged mobile phone numbers and became lovers just a few weeks later. So much for him being true to his wife," said the snitch.
Father-of-four Ramsay has been married to wife Tana for the past 12 years.
Fresh reports say Ramsay and Tana have been in 'crisis talks' since the sensational allegations were published last Sunday.
The snitch added: "Gordon was honest with Tana. It was the least he could do in light of all what's happened.
"He is so remorseful over putting her and the kids through such an ordeal. As you would expect, he's also very angry and says a lot of it is complete b*******."
Ramsay also reportedly told his wife he does know Symonds, who claims to have been his mistress, but that he had only met her on four occasions.
Lurid revelations
Meanwhile, there's talk that Symonds is gearing up to make
more lurid revelations
this weekend in the
News of the World
. So stay tuned for another week of gossip-mongering as the chef gets a (pun intended) public roasting.
Symonds already claims she can prove she had "
regular phone sex
" with the
F-Word
star lasting up to an hour at a time.
She also says she can prove that she had sex with Ramsay because
she can identify an intimate scar on his body
, reports the
Mirror
.
More juicy details have also emerged about Symonds and her alleged efforts to "snare" Ramsay. Some of the bizarre claims say Symonds:
*
dramatically changed her looks to 'rope in Ramsay'
*
indulged in a course of botox to maker her look younger
*
dyed her hair platinum blonde - a shade of mop she was told Ramsay has a weakness for
Capped off with this little gem from another snitch: "Sarah became obsessed with Ramsay."
Despite tongues wagging about his alleged infidelity, Ramsay, 42, and Tana, 33, have pledged to save their marriage. Pictured here by the
, the couple put on a brave face and emerged hand-in-hand near their London homestead yesterday.
The couple, notably Mr. Ramsay, has maintained a wall of silence thus far over the scandal.
Let's talk turkey:
Something tells me that chef boy is biding his time and uncharacteristically zipping his lip until the 'mistress with the mostess' runs out of steam and gets tired of the tattle tale approach. Then, and only then, will Ramsay declare it's open season and go in for the kill.
Ramsay doesn't strike me as the shy, passive receptor type, so sooner or later he'll pipe up. Crikey, the man's got a mouth on him bigger than a donkey's yawn. Which is why we love him. I know, don't keel over. We don't often dispense with that naughty word around here.
