Sylvester Stallone caused controversy after forgetting to thank Ryan Coogler and Michael B Jordan in his Golden Globes acceptance speech.
The 69-year-old actor appeared tearful when he picked up his second-ever prize at the ceremony, Best Supporting Actor, for Creed, and despite a lengthy acceptance speech, he initially omitted to extend his gratitude to the movie's director or his co-star.
However, after realising his mistake, he stopped the music to rectify the situation, telling filmmaker Ryan: "You are a brilliant, brilliant filmmaker... You did it all, I just hung on for dear life."
Unfortunately, the comments were not aired as the show had gone to a commercial break, prompting a flurry of outrage on social media.
Selma director Ava DuVernay decided to thank them herself in a tweet.
