5:00PM And the Best film (drama) Golden Globe goes to...Slumdog Millionaire.
4:50PM Susan Sarandon presents the award for Best actor (drama). And the Golden Globe goes to Mickey Rourke for his excellent performance in The Wrestler.
4:45PM Mad Men wins the award for Best Television Series - Drama.
4:38PM Cameron Diaz and Mark Wahlberg introduce the award for Best actress (drama). Kate Winslet wins for Revolutionary Road.
She's breathless and emotional as she accepts her second award. "I'm so sorry," she apologises to the other nominees. "Please wrap up? You have no idea how much I'm not wrapping up," she retorts as she's told by producers to hurry up her speech.
4:32PM Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen presents the award for Best film (musical or comedy). He makes a quip about the credit crunch. "Charlie Sheen has to have sex without paying for it. Even Madonna had to let one of her personal assistants go. Our thoughts go out to you, Guy Ritchie." And the Golden Globe goes to Woody Allen flick Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
4:27PM Salma Hayek introduces a clip from Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
4:15PM Danny Boyle wins the Best Director award for Slumdog Millionaire. "Your mad, pulsating affection for this film is deeply appreciated," he says.
3:59 Martin Scorsese introduces the Cecil B. Demille Award to Steven Spielberg. Spielberg takes to the stage and is met with a standing ovation. He points to Scorsese and says, "There's my inspiration right there."
3:49PM Tina Fey wins the Best actress (musical or comedy - TV) Golden Globe for her role in 30 Rock. "I have all the Hollywood Foreign Press action figures," she quips.
3:47PM The Best Original Score Golden Globe goes to AR Rahman for Slumdog Millionaire.
3:45PM Former Bond star Piecre Brosnan introduces a clip for Mamma Mia!
3:35PM 30 Rock wins the award for Best TV Series (Comedy or musical). Tina Fey takes to the stage, but it's Tracy Morgan who accepts the award - saying that Fey had agreed to let him speak if Obama won the US election.
3:32PM The Best actor (mini-series or film made for TV) Golden Globe goes to Paul Giamatti for John Adams. This is Giamatti's first win. "Wow, that's a long walk up there...this was a helluva job, this little costume drama we put on," he says as he accepts his award.
3:30PM Renee Zellweger, wearing an unflattering black gown that makes her look like the Grim Reaper, introduces a clip from The Reader.
3:21PM Grey's Anatomy hunk Patrick Dempsey presents the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy). And the winner is...Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock.
3:19PM Simon Beaufoy wins a Best Screenplay Golden Globe for the fantastic Slumdog Millionaire.
3:15PM Gerard Butler introduces a clip for dark comedy In Bruges.
3:09PM Presented by Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal, the Best actress (mini-series or film made for TV) award goes to Laura Linney for her role in John Adams. This is her first win.
3:05PM The Best Foreign Language Film award goes to...Waltz with Bashir.
2:57PM An age-defying Demi Moore presents the award for Best Supporting Actor. And the winner is Heath Ledger. It's a proud moment for Dark Knight director Chris Nolan as he picks up the award. "We accept this with an awful mixture sadness and pride," says Nolan as the audience takes to their feet and cheer.
2:55PM The Golden Globe for Best Mini-series or TV movie goes to...John Adams. Executive producer Tom Hanks accepts the award.
2:52PM Jake Gyllenhaal introduces a clip from Brad Pitt flick The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
2:42PM Johnny Depp presents the Best actress (musical or comedy) award. And the Golden Globe goes to Sally Hawkins for Happy-Go-Lucky. She's struggling to compose herself as she fights back the tears. She's 'this' close to pulling a Gwyneth Paltrow.
2:40PM Next up...The Jonas Brothers present the award for Best Animated Feature. And the Golden Globe goes to...Wall-E. Director Andrew Stanton accepts the award.
2:32PM Kiwi actress Anna Paquin wins a Best actress (Drama) Golden Globe for her role in TV show True Blood. This is her first Globe win.
2:30PM Gabriel Byrne wins a Best Actor (TV drama) gong for his role in In Treatment.
2:28PM Actor Don Cheadle introduces a clip from Brad Pitt and George Clooney flick, Burn After Reading.
2:24PM Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for Television. And the Golden Globe goes to Laura Dern for Recount.
