Bauer Media is closing the tween magazine Creme after 15 years of publications, with the final issue due on shelves on August 25.
The Creme brand will continue to have a presence on Facebook and Bauer says it hopes to redeploy three editorial staff.
The title - which aimed at girls aged 8 to 14 - was part of a package of titles Bauer bought from APN News and Media last year, reportedly for $7 million.
The package included New Zealand Woman's Weekly, The Listener, Simply You, and Simply You Living.
Bauer's publisher of woman's magazines, Fiona Lyon, said the title was making a loss when it took over and it hoped to attract more advertising.
